Mrs. Shannon is very excited to be joining the middle and high school classrooms at the Academy for the 2026–27 school year! A former competitive gymnast and gymnastics coach, she is thrilled to combine her love of the sport with her passion for working with students in the classroom.

She has a diverse background in education, with experience teaching history, tutoring, and supporting students as a reading intervention aide. Mrs. Shannon moved to Texas in January after spending three years living abroad in Australia with her husband and their two children. Her son, Logan, is in 9th grade, and her daughter, Aria, is in 6th grade.

She is excited to get to know the Academy community and looks forward to a great school year!
