I am so appreciative and humbled to be a part of an institution whose mission is to help support a child’s dream for gymnastics, whether it be for a college scholarship, making it to the Olympics, or just simply enjoying the sport. My goal is to work along with parents and coaches in making sure the student-athlete develops life-long skills in character, strength, and determination. As a “gym mom” myself, I understand the rigors of both sport and academics that routinely immerse the young minds of our talented gymnasts. I am impressed by their daily commitment in working towards becoming better at something they are passionate about.
Before becoming the elementary teacher with The Academy at WCC, I worked at two local school districts as a substitute and regular elementary teacher after receiving my Alternative Teaching Certification (Generalist EC - 6) from Region IV ESC. Prior to that, I worked in the field of accounting for several years after obtaining my BBA (‘98) from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX. I am married with three beautiful children, a chocolate lab, and a few gerbils.
I look forward in being a part of your child’s academic progression and success!
